Born and raised in Kentucky, I discovered my love of make-up at an early age. Thankfully, my mother didn't discourage me from wanting to know more about make-up. She took me to Avon parties and allowed me to take home the mini lipsticks that was given to me by the hostess. In high school my love of make-up and hair only continued to grow by doing make-up and hair for my friends for dances and senior pictures.
After graduating from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in English, I moved to Los Angeles wanting to become a writer for television. My first job was working at E! Entertainment as a P.A. for E! True Hollywood Story. One day I noticed an invoice for make-up and hair and knew that this was what I was meant to do.
Four months later, I graduated from Make-up Designory and never looked back. To further my career and education, I went to cosmetology school and received my cosmetology license.
In 2016, I officially joined IATSE Local 706 as a hairstylist. The hard work and dedication to finally join the union paid off and my dream of joining Local 706 was finally realized.
Now that I've been doing make-up and hair for over two decades, my passion and dedication to my craft continues to grow. To do what I love for a living is a dream come true.
